What I Did On My Summer Vacation - Part 1
So, the first week was spent in Chicago with my sister and without my husband. We talked, walked, spent way too much time eating really good food, played with her granddaughter and my great niece and generally had a good time. Baby Julia is so big now! It was fun to see the light in my brother-in-law's eyes as he spoke of her. I have never known him to get so animated over anything! The week went by quickly and before I knew it, it was time to fly to Detroit where I met Alan (coming in from Amsterdam) and we flew to Springfield, Mo for the next leg of our journey which will be revealed in part 2 tomorrow.

Welcome back to blogland! Missed you. I am off for an out of town trip in the morning. I won't have access to internet either, so I will have to hear about the rest of your trip then!
I loved reading about your brother's eyes lighting up when he spoke of his baby! I remember that look on my hubby's face after having each of our kids.
