What I Did On My Summer Vacation - Part 3
So on Friday of the second week we were still in Springfield. We had lunch with my brother, ran some errands and then got ready for the first part of my 20 year high school reunion. Springfield has a minor league baseball team and that was where the first part of the reunion was held. We had special seating and arrived an hour early because they had set up a tent for us with a barbecue dinner. It was well over 90 degrees and the humidity was high. So we were all sweating up a storm, but it was good to see everyone again. DH was chosen to be in a between inning race riding a tricycle. He came in second out of 3. We all had a good time. The next day we all met at the high school for a tour and some of our old teachers and our counselor came. It was fun to see how the school had changed and not changed. The home EC cooking room now had microwave ovens and flat wipeable cooking ranges. WOW! The typing room got rid of the manual and electric typewriters and now has computers! lol Back then there was no such thing as Internet, and few people had computers in their homes unless one of the parents needed it for professional reasons. That evening was the main event. We met at a restaurant down town. The whole second floor was reserved for us. Thank God they had air conditioning! Anyway, we saw a lot of old friends and I had the pleasure of introducing my husband to everyone. He found some former military guys so he had plenty of people to talk to also. It was a wonderful evening. Sunday, we went to the church of the pastor who married us, and had them out to lunch afterward. It's always good to see them. A wonderful couple married well over 50 years. That evening we did laundry and had dinner with my friend Andrea. The next day was off to Las Vegas! Part 4 tomorrow.

High school reunion??? Fun..fun! :)
My 10 year reunion is in 2009 (if there is going to be one) and I have already made it up in my mind that I'm not going. However I know one of my friends will drag me along so their not bored, so I probably will have to go. :/
I can't believe it will be 10 years soon! I guess I still think of myself as 17.
Where did the years go?????
