Practice What You Preach

As soon as I find the camera I will post the pictures. Sorry about that.

My post today is about bloggers. I have a real issue with people who blog about modesty and how women should dress and talk about their good Christian morals and hold themselves up as an example of how we as Christian women should be, and then I see ads on their blogs with half dressed women, or advocating birth control (that the blogger claims to be against) etc. It just shows me that the almighty dollar is worth more to them than their moral convictions. Ladies let's practice what we preach. If the advertisement is against what you say you believe then get rid of it. Doing things like this just makes all of us Christians look bad. No wonder people say the church is full of hypocrites. Stop it. 'Nuff said.

I had some bad ads not too long ago on my blog. My daughter alerted me; I had no idea. Some ad services, such as Google Ads, run random ads according to words on the blog. I had to remove the ad code because I didn't want ads for Russian wives, for instance, showing up on my blog. You should let the blogger know; she may have no idea. I didn't because I don't read my own blog. ;)

I have contacted her before and gotten no response. This is not the first time this particular blogger has contradicted herself by her advertisements, but then I have noticed that she will rail against something in one blog and then sing its praises in another blog. I removed her from my list of blogs that I read, because I didn't want anyone thinking I recommend her blog.

I do appreciate that someone contacted you and especially that you removed the ad. I removed all ads from my blog because the ones I had rotate and I found one for a dating service that just didn't seem right.

Dear Rebecca, I would appreciate it more than you know if you ever see anything on my blog that is not acceptable as a Christian, please let me know. I want to bring honor and glory to the Lord above anything else in my life. Thanks, connie from texas

Oh my, please let me know if ever anything pops up on my blog. I have seen some ads I've not liked as I travel around the blog world. So much is accepted these days that shouldn't be. No more is there a sense of modesty.

Of course I would if I noticed it. I wouldn't want anyone thinking ill of my friends. I hope this post didn't come across like I'm going around looking for things to call others on. It's just that on this particular blog those ads were right in my face (thus in the face of others) and honestly I'm tired of us a Christians giving others a reason to make fun of us and call us hypocrites. They don't need a reason, but when we give them one it makes it worse.
