A Whole Week!

Oh my goodness it's been a whole week since I posted last! I have been so busy. I substituted for the school nurse on Monday and Tuesday. Monday night we had a dinner party to go to. Tuesday night we had friends over who were to move back to the States early Thursday morning. Wednesday I spent the entire day baking for a bake sale the proceeds of which were to offset the cost of the Christmas Ball for the lower enlisted soldiers. This is something I very much believe in and since I had made that suggestion at the last coffee...well you see. I baked 4 dozen corn muffins, 3 dozen chocolate chip cookies and 3 pans of brownies. Thursday was the sale and then today was spent cleaning house and doing laundry since little of that got done all week. We have been enjoying our new Culligan water cooler and delivery service this past 2 weeks. I know, I know, not very frugal, but when you consider that the water out of the tap tastes bad and smells like fish, and consider the yuck that collects in the water filter, and the cost of buying water in small bottles and hauling it in, it's worth it. It doesn't cost all that much anyway and we love having fresh, good water to drink anytime we want it. I have laughed over how much more water we drink now that we don't have to go get it, carry it up the stairs from the car and then take the bottles to recycling. Anyway, I apologize for being gone so long. Just got caught up in life.

Hey welcome back! I've missed seeing your comments around.

Glad you were busy, it gave you less chance to get into trouble. LOL

I love that y'all are drinking more water. I'm always happy to hear people say that! We have a Culligan water treatment system plus a special faucet mounted right on our kitchen sink for purified drinking water. I don't miss buying and lugging bottles and jugs of water at all! And with all the water that is coming into the house being treated first, our skin is so soft all year long and our hair shines. No soap clings to us! Saves money in the long run. We use less soap and less lotions, creams, cleanser for hard water spots, etc. Love Culligan!

So I am hoping that you have a wonderful week. connie from Texas
